| The History/Social Science Department seeks to: enable students to excel in today’s demanding global environment, teach historical and cultural knowledge that connects to their other arts and academic courses, encourage active and positive citizenship, provide opportunities for students to view history from multiple perspectives, aid students in applying their historical and cultural knowledge in the “real world,” and encourage critical and analytical thinking, as well as effective research skills. |
