Adi Mullen

Adi Mullen is thrilled to be back at SCPA after attending the school for her Freshman and Sophomore years. After receiving her BFA in Musical Theatre from Temple University, Ms. Mullen received her Single-Subject Teaching Credentials in English and Theatre, along with her Master’s in Teaching Secondary Education from SDSU. Ms. Mullen uses her background in both the arts and academics to seamlessly blend rigorous ELA instruction with different artistic mediums. Ms. Mullen believes in the importance of literacy and critical thinking, and that education allows students to choose their paths in life, no matter where those paths lead. Before becoming a classroom teacher, Ms. Mullen worked as a professional actor in New York, Philadelphia, and San Diego, and is a member of the California Rhythm Project Tap Dance Company. She has served as a theatre and dance educator across San Diego since she was 16 years old. Ms. Mullen believes in preparing the next generation of performers to create the art that they want to see in the world. She embraces the individuality of all her students, helping them become the most empowered and thoughtful performers and citizens that they can be. When not in the classroom, Ms. Mullen loves spending time at the beach, traveling, watching baseball (go Padres!), and cooking.
