Ellen Warkentien

WarkentienEllen is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and Screen Actors Guild. Her film and television credits include: Friends and Jingle All The Way. On stage she has appeared at Radio City Music Hall along with National Tours of The Wizard of Oz and Annie Get Your Gun with Donna McKechnie. Ellen has appeared in Carousel at The Denver Center Theatre Company and Sugar Babies in Atlantic City with Juliet Prowse and Rip Taylor. Some other regional theatre credits include: California Music Theater, Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities, San Bernardino Civic Light Opera, San Diego Civic Light Opera - Starlight, South Hampton Dinner Theater, Lawrence Welk Resort Theater. Other Broadway luminaries Ellen has worked with include: Bea Arthur, Nancy Dussault, Elaine Stritch, Janis Paige, Robert Guillaume, Debbie Reynolds, Len Cariou, Laurence Guittard, Jerry Herman, and Avery Schriver. Concert engagements include performing for Bette Davis and Lillian Gish’s film premier of The Whales of August, Aids Benefit Tuesday’s Child concert version of Mame, and Thalians’s tribute to Angela Landsbury. Choreographic credits include: Oklahoma!, Gypsy, The Music Man, Thoroughly Modern Millie, South Pacific, A Chorus Line, The King and I, Scrooge Barnum, Kiss Me Kate, and Legally Blonde. Ellen is an ABT Certified Teacher in Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering with the ABT National Training Curriculum. This is Ellen's 21st year at SDSCPA.
