Jeremy McQueen

San Diego native, Jeremy McQueen, is a graduate of The Ailey School/Fordham University, B.F.A in Dance program. He began his training at the California Ballet School and the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, where he was the recipient of the Fred Astaire Award for Dancer of the Year. McQueen has also trained as a scholarship recipient with the San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Alonzo King's LINES Ballet. He has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Nicolo Fonte, Alonzo King, Jose Limon, Christopher Huggins and Troy Powell, among others.

As a performer, McQueen has performed professionally with the California Ballet Company, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, and made his Carnegie Hall debut performing with the Aeros Quintet. In 2008, McQueen traveled to Germany performing for Panasonic electronics and appeared in the 2007 and 2009 editions of the Fire Island Dance Festival (Presented by and benefiting Dancers Responding to AIDS). Recently, McQueen performed with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra in "Christmas with the Symphony", in Nebraska. Theatrically, McQueen has appeared in the 1st Broadway National Tours of Wicked and The Color Purple. Some of McQueen's regional theater credits include Susan Stroman's Contact, Disney's High School Musical, and Hairspray, in addition to the New York City and National Touring companies of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

McQueen is the recipient of numerous awards for his dancing, musical and theatrical abilities including the Jason Robins Dance Award presented by the California Council for the Arts. In December 2010, McQueen was named the Runner-up of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago's "Creative Force: Choreographers of Color Award" and in February 2011, McQueen's choreographic work, "Concerto Nuovo" was awarded Dance Magazine's Video of the Month - Viewers Choice Award.

McQueen's choreographic works have been presented throughout New York City. McQueen recently choreographed Pete Miser's music video, "Honest Mistakes", and in January 2012, McQueen's "Concerto Nuovo" was featured in the seventh annual, Dance From The Heart concert, presented by and benefiting Dancers Responding to AIDS. In June, McQueen was recognized as one of 2012's young emerging choreographers at the 3rd annual Young Choreographer's Festival in New York City. In July 2012, McQueen's choreography was featured in the 80th Anniversary of the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival - Inside/Out series. McQueen is a 2012 Finalist of the Capzeio Award for Choreographic Excellence (Capezio A.C.E. Award).

McQueen gives back to the arts community during his free time by teaching various master classes to aspiring young professionals. McQueen has served as a guest instructor at New York University, in addition to numerous universities, high schools and dance studios around the country. McQueen recently participated as a teaching artist with the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, and was a guest instructor/lecturer at the prestigious Kentucky Center's Governor's School for the Arts. In 2010, participated had the honor of being a guest speaker at the Dancing Through College & Beyond conference held at The Juilliard School. Jeffrey Gerodias

Jeffrey GerodiasJeffrey Gerodias enrolled in fifth grade at SCPA (at that time located at O'Farrell School) because he was studying violin. When told he had to choose between P.E. or dance, he chose dance, "I'm not exactly sure why." He excelled in classes taught by our own Sandra Foster-King and others, and eventually danced with the Isaacs/McCaleb Youth Company. He would go on to dance with the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, one of the largest modern-dance troupes in the world - and the best-funded with a $15 million budget.

Daniel Marshall

Daniel MarshallDaniel Marshall began his dance career in California at the San Diego Creative School of Performing Arts. Soon after Graduation, he went to New York to accept a scholarship at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

While Mr. Marshall may have thought he would be spending a lot more time as a student, Cleo Parker Robinson had other plans for him. She brought Daniel back to Denver, Colo. to become a member of her company. During his four years in Denver Mr. Marshall was able to develop his style and travel across the globe to places including Germany, Kenya, Poland, and Russia.

By 1997, as an accomplished dancer, Mr. Marshall had made his way back to California to dance and choreograph. He did guest performances with Lula Washington Dance Theatre in Los Angeles and became Artistic Director of the San Diego Contemporary Dance Ensemble.Mr. Marshall acted not only as Director but also the company's only choreographer. Under his direction the company grew from eight members to twelve members and performed throughout the city regularly. During this time he set several pieces including Lover's Lament and Blessed Assurance. Mr. Marshall received the 1997 Tommy Award for Best Male Performer/Choreographer.

In 1999, Mr. Marshall found himself departing for Dayton, Ohio to become a member of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, and become one of its the premiere dancers.In 2001 Dance Magazine named Mr. Marshall one of its "25 to Watch."

He also found several choreographic homes in the Dayton area. He has set ballets for Gem City Ballet and South Dayton Ballet. Both are members of Regional Dance America. Mr. Marshall Received National Choreography Award NE in 2002. In addition he has set two ballets on Dayton's Contemporary Second Dance Company which also tours regionally.

Mr.Marshall has also served as Artistic Director for San Diego Civic Youth Ballet from 2005-2006. In 2006, Mr. Marshall set work on San Diego Dance Theater and danced with California Ballet. Mr. Marshall directed and choreographed "Cats" the musical for San Diego Junior Theater. He has become a recognized Choreographer and is now Artistic Director/Founder of La Diego Dance Theater.
 Recently, Mr. Marshall has set new choreography for La Diego, Vineland Regional Dance, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, and Ballet Yuma. He contributes to the Celebrate Dance Festival and in San Diego, Bravo San Diego, the Palm Desert Choreography Festival, and the New York Summer-Stage Series, as well as continued involvement with the Regional Dance of America Ballet Festivals.

Tiffany Billings

Tiffany Billings, professor, choreographer, director, singer, actor and performer, is a wonderfully gifted all around entertainer. Tiffany began her training with the Sacramento ballet under the esteemed Barbara Crockett, as well as with Sound Of Music film and stage star Dan Truitte. She has also trained and performed with such notables as the San Francisco Ballet under Tom Rudd, and the School of American Ballet in New York with Suki Schorer. Tiffany has assisted Sally Whalen, trained with Joe Tremaine, Jonathan Watts, Stanley Williams, and the legendary Donald McKayle, who served as her mentor and advisor for choreography.

Tiffany's extensive training has led to performances and awards ranging from the lead ballerina in Cinderella, set by David Allen, to winning a Tommy award for Best Jazz Dancer, and awarded the ACDFA American College Dance Festival Associations highest honors by being chosen to present her choreography at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

Also an accomplished choreographer, Tiffany has created many powerful pieces, which regularly leave audiences clamoring for more. She has choreographed for Edge Time Stories, with Randy Allaire and Bill Prudich; Starting Here Starting Now with director Al Valetta, and Bre Rabbit, with Award winning director and Yale graduate Loni Berry. Tiffany has set pieces for the American Cancer Society AIDS benefit, and the Choreographers Carnival Ball at the Key Club, in Hollywood, CA. She has worked with award winning dancer William Lu on her original piece, Blind Faith, which premiered to standing ovations each night.

She has also won a Gold medal in Japan in an international singing competition, was a NFL San Diego Charger Dancer, and also served as the voice of "Lucy" on the animated Peanuts cartoon series. In regional musical theatre productions, she has performed at Long Beach Civic Light Opera, San Diego Civic Center, Starlight Theatre, Moonlight Theatre, Lyceum Theatre and the California Center of the Arts, Escondido.

As well as being an accomplished performer, Tiffany has also directed a short film, Fallen Star, which premiered in Irvine and Hollywood, CA, where the film received rave reviews. Fallen Star is currently being distributed in Japan and the United States, where it continues to change perceptions of what a 'dance film' is, while also leaving audiences with a lasting emotional impact.

Tiffany has instructed at the Edge in Hollywood, while also serving as an honored performer and instructor in various cities across the country for the past fifteen years. She has choreographed several full-length performances, industrials, and videos, while also serving as a guest artist, setting and premiering dance pieces at highly renowned universities. The world premiere of Tiffany's choreographic work, NOISE, at California State University Long Beach was quoted as "the most striking piece by far", "creating a climatic, resonating experience that was unforgettable."

Tiffany serves as an instructor and judge for national Dance Masters of America conventions, while also acting as a guest artist, setting and premiering dance pieces at highly renowned universities. In her role as a judge for the American Choreography awards, Tiffany has enabled many of her students from Chapman University to participate and perform in the awards show held at the Orpheum Theatre, in Hollywood, Ca.

Tiffany was Artistic Director for the City of Long Beach's Grand Prix opening ceremony, titled "Thunder Thursday". The event brought in over 3,000 people to the streets of Long Beach, revitalizing the area. The crowd enjoyed an evening filled with dancing, live music, and DJ's. The city of Long Beach was so pleased with the event; they hope to make this an annual celebration, with Tiffany at the helm.

A graduate of CSU San Marcos, she has also received her Masters of Fine Arts in Choreography at the University of California, Irvine. Tiffany was full time faculty at Chapman University, Tiffany instructed Advanced Jazz, Ballet, Artistic Direction, Choreography, Dance Repertoire as well as the new special studies course "Dance & Multi-Media". Tiffany led the Chapman University students on a State wide dance tour, traveling throughout California performing in over 20 shows in 3 weeks.

While still teaching Master Classes, choreographing and directing, Tiffany started her own clothing line called TIF WEAR in 2007. In less than 2 years, TIF WEAR has taken the country by storm. Changing the face of active wear and reinventing the way performers present themselves. TIF WEAR has been sold at Equinox Fitness Clubs nationwide, Boutique shops, and Dance and Yoga centers through out the country. 2009 TIF WEAR started a partnership with Mia Michaels, world famous contemporary choreographer from the hit FOX reality show "So You Think You Can Dance".

Currently, Tiffany was accepted to the renowned Graduate College Saybrook to obtain her PhD. in Dance and Choice Theory Psychology.

Michelle Camaya

Michelle Camaya"A California native, Michelle Camaya's life growing up was mainly focused in and around the dance studio. Being a former dancer, her mother ignited Michelle's passion for dance. This Filipino firecracker has studied a variety of different genres including Philippine folk dance, ballet, jazz, modern, ballroom, hula, hip-hop, Lindy Hop, and theatrical. Michelle has been performing since the age of five and persevered in dance by attending the San Diego School of Performing Arts and attaining a dance degree from the University of California, Irvine. Her professional career has enabled her to tour the country with musicals such as Fame, Swing!, and The Lion King. Michelle can currently be seen in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway, as well as appearances in the Disney movie Enchanted and Rob Marshall's Memoirs of a Geisha. She was recently a contestant on Bravo's Step it Up & Dance."

Tessandra Chavez

Tessandra Chavez Tessandra began dancing at the age of 5, choreographing at 11 and started her dance company, Unity Dance Ensemble, at 15. She is a San Diego native and a graduate of the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. She comes from a single parent household where dance was her outlet and escape. Through scholarships and endless devotion from her mother, Tessandra was able to intensely train in Jazz, Tap, Modern, Ballet and Hip Hop. Because her dance experience is so versatile her choreography and classes mirror that vast training. She advocates that the best dancers are masters at various dance forms, fearless, disciplined and honest. Her motto is to always explore new avenues of movement and to inspire dancers to dance authentically from their heart. Since the establishment of her dance company in 1994, Tessandra has gone on to achieve several choreography awards, including the 2004 JDWC Silver Leo Award for Excellence in Choreography. She has also been producing and choreographing her own dance concerts since 1997 to sold out audiences. She now resides in Los Angeles where she expanded her dance company and launched UNIT LA, which consists of the top professional dancers in Los Angeles. MORE

C Anthony Cole

C Anthony ColeC. Anthony Cole has been a dance artist for over 20 years from childhood classes at Our Lady of Grace, through high school at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA), to his studies at the Boston Conservatory of Music, Dance, and Theater. He has served as the Principle Teaching Artist for TranscenDance Youth Arts Project, produced and directed "Collaborations" dance projects in San Diego and served as the founding Executive Director of La Diego Dance Theater. He was the Co-Director and Choreographer of the Gospel Messiah, 2006, 2007 & 2009.

Mr. Cole has worked as a consultant for start-up dance companies and has produced, stage managed and artistically directed for Unity Dance Ensemble, La Diego Dance Theater and The Garage Project. Mr. Cole is a popular and recurrent Guest Artist at SDSCPA where he has choreographed and taught for the advanced level classes.In addition, to being the "protégé" of Sandra Foster King, he has been invited to re-stage her repertoire throughout San Diego.
Inspired by Debbie Allen, Alvin Ailey, Talley Beaty, and many other black dance notables, Mr. Cole founded the CAC Repertory Dance Theatre which is the one and only nonprofit Black Dance Company in San Diego.
