Hello Students and Parents! I love teaching 6th grade Ancient Civilizations and this will be my fourth year doing so.
I am originally from Downey, California and graduated from high school in Norco, California. I grew up in a small town atmosphere with all types of animals from ducks and cats to horses and goats. After graduating I made my way to San Diego to pursue a degree in Art History. However, I always wanted to teach so I eventually changed my major to Social Science. I received my degree from San Diego State University and my teaching credential from National University while also raising my newborn son.
I have now been teaching for a total of five years and while I am not busy with my students I love nothing more than being with my family and close friends. I have four amazing children: Cole, Kai, Jade and Ava and one very supportive husband! On my free time I enjoy hiking, jogging, reading, going to the beach and simply spending time outdoors.
I love all that the ancient world has to offer and cannot wait to share it with my students. Please feel free to contact me at anytime with any questions.
